| Ohio Inland Rivers |
Ohio has more than 44,000 miles of rivers and streams.
As I was told one afternoon while fishing on the Kokosing,
so many rivers and streams, so little time. Our rivers have
a wide varity of fishes just waiting to latch on to your
bait or lure.
We can find bass, catfish, sunfish, pike, walleye, muskie,
trout, carp crappie, and steelhead throughout the rivers and
streams of Ohio.Using your favorite fly or lure is bound to
bring you a joyful day of fishing.
Ohio was the first state to start a scenic river program,
they started in 1969. This program is overseen by the
director of ODNR. As of 2009 there are 11 name scenic rivers
in Ohio. On our listing they are marked by the color blue. |
